We then played some games based around Volleyball such as throwing and catching over the bench, throwing to different members of the opposing group, bounce passes.

After the break, we made the most of the improving conditions outside to get some games going on the playground. The game was called endball with the aim being to pass the ball up the court and score by bouncing the ball in one of the hoops at the end of the court.

Meanwhile, in the hall we played some games of Benchball - so still throwing, catching and working as a team. After a while we switched those teams outside with those inside so that everyone got to play each game.

It was a busy but fun session and at the end the Star of the Week awards were presented to Swaran and one of our new members - McKenzie - for their participation and efforts. Well done lads!

We then moved on to moving the ball around the body, on catching the ball. From there we added over and under which is over the head and then between the legs. We carried on to passing while on the run, in pairs. Finally, we did some circle work with moving ball(s) around the circle and then across the circle (running and passing).​

After the break we switched sports and took things down a notch or two by playing some golf and in particular putting. The first game was aiming to hit, and collect, cones that were laid out at the far end of the hall. The winner being the person who hit and collected the most cones. The second game was trying to get a ball in to hoop and stay there.

Our final sport was some archery. We split the group in to two so that everyone had a chance to take aim at the targets at the far end of the hall.

It was a great session and the kids had a lot of fun with all the sports and also socialising with their friends. At the end of the session, the coaches had the hard task of picking two Stars of the Week and this week they picked Holly and Alexander. Well done to you both!

Join us again next Saturday for our last session before the half term break.

The coached then laid out some cones for the kids to dribble around. They split in to four equal groups and took it in turns to dribble the ball up and down the hall, around the cones. That progressed to moving the ball around the body when they reached the top of the hall. After the main break we progressed to some shooting practice.

We finished the session off with a few quick games of benchball - the group split in to three teams and each played the other two teams. At the end of the session the coaches awarded the Star of the Week awards to Joseph and Shah - well done to you both!

After the main break we split the group in to three small teams for some round robin games of Hockey so each team played the other two teams.

We finished off the session with a game of Benchball with the group splitting in to two teams.

It was great to be back and burning off some energy while having fun. Our Star performers were Theo and Kerrie so congrats to you both for all your efforts.

We then played some hockey starting with dribbling with the ball then a traffic light game. After that they laid out some cones to dribble around and practice shooting. We then started some matches before the great.

After the break we played some Benchball with the group splitting in to three teams and each team playing each other. We then finished off with some games of Boccia. The group this time split in to two teams, sitting at opposing ends of the hall. They then played a series of games with the number of hoops to aim for reducing each time.

From everyone here at EF Sportability Club we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We will be back on Saturday 10th January at the usual time of 10am so look forward to seeing you all then to work off all that food and drink!

Our stars of the week this week were Charlotte and Joseph who are incidentally our oldest and youngest members. Well done to you both.
There is no club next weekend (Sat 6th) as the school are using the hall. Our final session before Christmas is on Saturday 13th at the usual time of 10:00. Bring you festive cheer and by all means wear your best, or worst, xmas outfit!

After the break we put all that skills practice to use in some small sided games. The first game was won by the yellow team by 4 goals to 2 against the green team. Next up was the blue team to take on the yellow team. In this match the blue team were victorious in a close game but a massive score of 6 goals to 5. The last game saw the blue team take on the green team. It ended up 4 to 2 goals for the green team meaning each team won one game each.

We finished off the session with a couple of quick games of Boccia. Our star performers this week were Kealan and Theo who both excelled in the Hockey - well done boys!
