Then we did some golf putting, firstly trying to get as many shots in the hoops as possible, then a game where you collect cones that you hit. Finally it was a challenge game where you tried to get your ball to stop nearest to the bench at the far end of the hall.

After the break we did some Archery with the group splitting in to two teams.

Finally we ended up with a few games of leisurely Boccia with two teams facing off against each other from either end of the hall.

It was a lovely session and we all managed to survive the heat without melting.

One of the fielding practice drills included picking up a ball from a tee, moving it on to the next tee, running around the stumps then moving the ball back, on the way back to the start.Throwing and catching, in pairs, around stumps, at stumps. 
We then did some batting practice drills as well.

We then put all the practice to good use in some games of Three Tee Cricket. We split the group in to four teams and the played a round robin so each team played each other. One game was in the school hall while the other was on the playground.​

At the end of a great session Alan had the hard task of picking the Star of the week award winners. He chose Harry and Kerrie - well done both of you for your great efforts.

We also did a World Cup Sweepstake just for fun with each child getting two teams each. Those absent got a team as well as did the coaching staff. Liam managed to get one of the top rated teams (France) as well as the bottom one (New Zealand). Joseph got Brazil, Kerrie got Argentina and Anand got England. See a member of staff if you want to know which team(s) you have, We will come up with a small prize for the eventual winner.

we finished off, as we often do, with some games of Boccia. This time though Ray came up with a twist for the first game. It was  all about hitting cones laid out on the floor. If you hit one or more cones with your throw you kept those cones. The game went on until all the cones had been hit. We then finished off with the more conventional games of aiming at the hoops.

Our Star of the Week awards went to Theo and a new member Harrison - well done lads.

We then moved on to our main sport of Rugby and we started with passing in pairs before adding some moves such as after catching the ball move it around your back before passing back. Then changing it to be move it between your legs.

The fun really started then as we split in to four teams to play some games of Rob the Nest. This is where all the rugby balls start in a hoop in the centre. One member from each team fetches a ball and brings it back to their teams hoop. Once back another team member goes until there are no balls left. This is where the fun really starts because they then start to "rob" balls from other team's hoops. The game can change really quickly and one team can go from having a number of balls to very few if all the other teams target them! So even though one of the teams contained some very fast young lads they kept on losing as  the other teams went for their rugby balls.

The kids had some much fun running around playing the game that we carried on with more games after the break.

We finished off the session, as we often do, by bringing the pace down a bit with some games of Boccia back in the hall. The group split in to two teams at either end of the hall, aiming for hoops in the middle of the hall. As the games went on the number of hoops to aim for reduced. It seemed a very even contest with each  team winning a few games.

It really was a fun session with a lot of laughs as we played the games. At the end we sang Happy Birthday to both Ollie and Anand before Ollie presented the Star of the Week awards to Holly and Ellis. Well done both of you!
We have one more session next Saturday before the half term break so we hope to see as many of you as possible next Saturday!

we did some passing in pairs then dribbling around cones. Lastly we added shooting practice once you had dribbled around the cones. We then moved on to small sided games with two pitches set up on the playground so that everybody got to play at the same time.

We finished off the session, as we often do, with some games of Boccia back in the hall. The group split in to two facing off across the hall with the aim of getting as many of the team's balls (red or blue) in to the hoops in the middle. With each game the number of hoops to aim for reduces.

It was a great session overall and at the end we sang Happy Birthday to Todd, who was also one of Star of the Week winners, along with Liam. Well done lads.

After a quick drinks break they then moved on to dribbling around cones. Alan and Ollie set up four lanes for the group to dribble around. That then moved on to shooting at a goal at the end of the lane.

After the main break the group was then divided in  to three teams to play a series of round robin games. It was great to see some great skills on show and some fabulous goals being scored.

We finished off the session back in the hall with a few games of Boccia led by Cliff. The groups split in to two teams at either end of the hall and aimed at hoops laid out in the middle of the hall. After each game some of the hoops were removed to make aiming at a target increasingly harder.

We then played some games based around Volleyball such as throwing and catching over the bench, throwing to different members of the opposing group, bounce passes.

After the break, we made the most of the improving conditions outside to get some games going on the playground. The game was called endball with the aim being to pass the ball up the court and score by bouncing the ball in one of the hoops at the end of the court.

Meanwhile, in the hall we played some games of Benchball - so still throwing, catching and working as a team. After a while we switched those teams outside with those inside so that everyone got to play each game.

It was a busy but fun session and at the end the Star of the Week awards were presented to Swaran and one of our new members - McKenzie - for their participation and efforts. Well done lads!
