This week we held our annual meeting for parents, carers and members of staff. Thanks for all those parents and carers who took the time to attend and for contributing to what proved to be a very productive meeting. I will send out the meeting minutes by email as soon as possible. As a result of the meeting the update below is not as comprehensive as normal with fewer photos so apologies for that. This week's session centred around the sport of Hockey. The weather was certainly autumnal so we remained in the hall all session. Ray led the warm up of jogging and stretching before the hockey got underway. We started off by the kids grabbing a hockey stick and ball each and dribbling around the hall. They then moved on to passing in pairs before finishing off the skills practice with some shooting drills. The group then broke up in to three teams for some small sided games. In the first game it was very one sided with the green team beating the blue team by 10 goals to 1. The green team then took on the yellow team and that ended up all square with three goals apiece. The final game saw the yellow team face the blue team and the yellow team triumphed by 5 goals to 1. Seems like the blue team could do with a bit more practice on their teamwork, passing and shooting! We finished off the session with some parachute games with Todd's little Buzz Lightyear figure being one of a few things bounced around on the parachute.
Our star performers this week were Anand and Harry F, who was attending for the very first time and wasted no time getting stuck in with all the activities. Well done lads! Comments are closed.
