After the school being closed for three weeks and then the Easter break it has been a long while since we had a Sportability Club session but it was great to be back on Saturday and see everyone again. We hope you all had a restful and enjoyable break over Easter. Our session this week was mainly based around Football and it was great to get outside on to the playground to enjoy the fantastic weather. We started off with Alan leading a warm up before we started passing in pairs and passing between cones After a quick drinks break they then moved on to dribbling around cones. Alan and Ollie set up four lanes for the group to dribble around. That then moved on to shooting at a goal at the end of the lane. After the main break the group was then divided in to three teams to play a series of round robin games. It was great to see some great skills on show and some fabulous goals being scored. We finished off the session back in the hall with a few games of Boccia led by Cliff. The groups split in to two teams at either end of the hall and aimed at hoops laid out in the middle of the hall. After each game some of the hoops were removed to make aiming at a target increasingly harder. It was a great first session back and our star performers this week were Kealan and Zach (one of our newer members). Congratulations to you both! As we missed the last few sessions before Easter there was also a surprise for the members - some belated Easter Eggs so that capped what was a wonderful morning. Also below is a photo of Coach Alan with a certificate awarded to us as part of a very generous grant award from Loughton Town Council which is gratefully received. Comments are closed.
