Epping Forest Sportability Club AGM

The Epping Forest Sportability Club held its Annual General Meeting on Saturday 11 October 2014. If anyone would like a full copy of the meeting minutes, please email [email protected] and we will send them out. 

The main points of the meeting are that Rachel Steeley has kindly agreed to join the management committee as Deputy Chair as Peter Ferris is stepping down after assisting us for the last few years. A big thank you to Pete for all his help and a big welcome to Rachel. 

The club is progressing well and looking to improve further:

• We have a few new members which is great, especially as some of our elder members have moved on to new adventures. 
  
• The sessions are planned and structured a lot more thoroughly than they have ever been and we will soon be starting evaluating our members on a periodic basis to ensure we are meeting each child's needs and also recording their progress over time. 
  
• Our links to Oakview School are improving all the time and they are kindly helping us in not only letting us use their superb facilities year after year but offering great advice and guidance.
  

The highlight of the past year was most definitely the weekend away to Essex Outdoors Centre in Danbury in August where not only were we blessed with good weather and fantastic facilities but we were also looked after really well by the team there and took part in some memorable activities. We will look to repeating this weekend, or something similar, if we can in 2015.
