After a short break we moved on to a game called bench hockey where we split in to four teams and you play with the sticks going through the bench and the pitch is the area between the benches with the goals at either end. This not only helped practice the ball control but also added team work in to the game. It is similar to playing table football in that the ball moves backwards and forwards between players on each team as the ball travels up and down the pitch. Hopefully these pictures can help demonstrate the game a lot better! Lastly there were team games of hockey putting everything learnt in to short games. At the end of the session the coaches, Alan and Ray, decided that Hal was the Star of the Week for good effort all round throughout the session. Well done Hal! This coming Saturday is our last before the christmas break so we hope to see as many members as possible there. We may even see a former coach make a special appearance! Comments are closed.
