Our first session back after the half term break was filled with different ball games featuring a lot of throwing and catching skills. After a warm up to start with the session got underway with some basic catching games in pairs using tennis balls. As you can see from the photos this included basic throwing and catching before moving on to doing it with one hand behind your back! After that we played some Three Tee cricket which involves a lot of running, fielding and catching. After a break we played some dodgeball, which focuses on ball throwing skills as well as working as a team, and then some bench ball to finish the session. Bench Ball, like dodgeball, is all about team work and accurate throwing of the ball. But Bench Ball also requires some good catching by those on the benchs for your team to win. At the end of a busy session the Star or the Week was awarded to Toby, which was really good going as it was his very first week at the club. We hope he enjoyed himself and we look forward to seeing him join in with all the fun in the weeks ahead. Well done Toby and all those who did so well this week! Comments are closed.
