We had a really good session on Saturday at Epping Forest Sportability Club with one new face coming to see what we get up to and a good turn out from the rest of our members. The main sport was badminton but there was much more going on too. As usual the session started with a warm up led by coaches Ray, Ciara and Ollie with Zoe taking the photos and helping out too. It was then on to Badminton and the nets were out with the kids pairing up trying to build up rallies hitting the shuttlecock across the net to each other. For those that struggled with the net being too high then the coaches worked one to one with them to the side of the hall helping to build up their skills and their confidence levels. Some of the newer members are quite young and small so sometimes the older kids charging about the hall can be a bit intimidating. So, for the first time in a long time, we used Oak View's ball pool to allow the smaller ones to have a lot of fun. After a break for refreshments we changed things about a bit with the main sport changing to hockey in the school hall with a game of target boccia in the hall way for those that preferred to play that. At the end of the session the coaches conferred and awarded the Star of the Week to Pranav. He showed great skill once again in the Badminton, a sport that he excels in. Well done Pranav and keep up the good work! Join us again next Saturday to see what sports Alan has planned for us. Don't forget as well that there are only two more meets before we break up for Christmas! Comments are closed.
