We had a great session of Basketball at Epping Forest Sportability Club this week and with lots of basketballs bouncing all at the same time it was quite a noisy session too! After the normal warmup led by Ray the kids started off with a basketball each to practice their dribbling skills. First off, it was just around the hall. Then it was along the lines marked out on the floor and finally a traffic light game led by Ollie. We then moved on to some shooting practice taking it in turns to shoot at each end of the hall. At the main break we got in to Football World Cup fever with each child picking one of the remaining 16 teams. Whoever has the world cup winning team will win a small prize. After the main break we played some one vs one games using the world cup teams drawn and the fixtures that will be played out in the next few days in the round of 16. We then finished off with some small sided games. The group were split in to three teams and we played a round robin basis, so each team played each other. It was a great session once again and all the kids really enjoyed it. Join us again next Saturday for our penultimate session before the Christmas break. Comments are closed.
