Firstly, a big apology for being so late posting this update. Unfortunately, my half term was extremely busy so I did not get a chance to compose and post the report on the last session that was held on Saturday 10th. Anyway, better late than never so here goes.... We had a lovely laid back session, you could almost say chilled bearing in mind the February weather. Being the last session before the half term break Alan and the coaches did not focus on one sport and building up skill levels but rather laid out a whole host of events for the kids to take part in and just have fun. The kids could dip in and out of whatever sport or game they fancied whilst we had the radio on in the background for an altogether more fun atmosphere. The photo's hopefully speak for themselves... As you can see from the last few photos we did switch to some team games mid-session. Firstly, after a break for drinks and to allow the coaches to clear away all the equipment, we split the group in to two teams for a game of Benchball. This is always a fun game to play and although height is an advantage it is more important to be able to throw straight and catch well. Team work is important as each team looks to pass the ball from one of the hall to their bench at the other end. Also, as communication is equally important there is a lot of shouting as players call for the ball. Our last game before we finished for the day was Hockey.. The benches quickly became goals at either end and the teams battled in out in an energetic game.
