For our last session of the Autumn Term we enjoyed a few good sports and had a great little party! After the usual warm up we started off with a game of Rob the Nest. It is a great game that combines not only a lot of running about but also a fair amount of thinking, working out where to "steal" the next ball or bean bag from. The basic idea being that everyone starts with the same amount of balls and bean bags but the winner is the one who ends up with the most at the end of the game. The second sport we played was a game of indoor hockey with the kids splitting in to teams - blues, yellows and reds. They then played a series of games against each other. After the hockey it was time for a break but being the last session before Christmas it was not a normal break. Instead we had a mini-party with food, drink and music. After all the running around throughout the morning the kids did a really good job of polishing off all the food! Once all the food was consumed and digested there was still time for one last game. We let the kids decide and they chose a game of Benchball - a simple game that is easy to set up but loads of fun. At the end of a fantastic session we did a group photo for those still there and coach Alan did a little speech to sum up the year and to wish everyone all the best for the festive season. The Star of the Week award this week went to ......... everyone! From all the staff at Epping Forest Sportability we wish everyone an amazing Christmas and a Merry New Year. We look forward to seeing you all back and raring to go on Sat 7th January.
