Firstly, apologies for the very late post - it has been a busy week! We finished off the term with some great fun and games followed by a little surprise! As usual we started off with a warm up, this time jogging around the hall led by Ray, Ciara and Ollie. Then it was straight in to a game of tag, also known as British Bulldog to some of the members both young and old. As you can see in the photos below it was Ollie up first to do the catching with Pranav taking a turn afterwards. Speed, agility and cunning are the attributes needed to avoid being caught and to ultimately winning the game. Our first surprise of the day was some delicious hot cross buns kindly donated by Callum's mum which made the snack break all the better. After the break we calmed things down a bit with a nice relaxing game of Target Boccia. It is a tricky game and as one member found out one second your ball is rolling towards the bullseye then the next it has rolled right past and off the mat! So aim and ball speed are equally as important. Our last sport played was a game of hockey played with plastic sticks and a tennis ball in the hall. It was a great game with some good skills shown by both sides. As you can see in the photos Coach Alan got involved leading the way battling to keep the yellow team in the game As this was the last session of the term we did not have an individual star of the week but instead a rather nice team photo of those who were still there at the end of the session. For everyone that attended the session there was a final surprise of a nice Easter Egg to savour over the holidays.
From everyone at the Sportability Club we wish you all and your loved ones a really special Easter break and hope you get to relax and enjoy the time off and the good weather. We look forward to seeing you all back on Saturday April 22nd at 10:00. Happy Easter! Comments are closed.
