It was great to be back after the Half term break as we played Handball as the main sport. The coaches started with a warm up as usual, with jogging and stretching plus a game of Traffic Lights with Star Jumps on an amber light. We then moved on to Handball with the kids taking it in turns, in their groups, to bounce and dribble a ball up and down the hall and then around the cones. We then introduced some shooting practice, firstly throwing at a bench as a goal then at numbered cones. After a quick drinks break we split the group in to three teams for some Handball matches, with a bench at each end as a goal. Each team played each other - Blues, Reds and Yellows. There were some close matches with the last match a tense battle that was won by 5-4. After the main break we switched sports to play some Archery. The group split in to two teams - Robin Hood's Archers and The Sheriff of Nottingham's Archers. After a practice round we then entered competition mode - after one round each Robin Hood's team were trailing 70 points to 82. After the second round of shooting the scores were 82 to 92 with the Sheriff's team winning again but in the last round Robin Hood's team made some amends by winning 63 to 56.
