After a quick game of tag to get the kids going it was straight in to Basketball this week. We started with some ball control skills like passing the ball around the body or around the legs, bouncing the ball and then passing to a partner. We then moved on to some dribbling routines and then to one vs one games which involved running and then dribbling the ball before shooting. Finally we played some small sided games with only four players per team with the emphasis on team work and passing, as well as shooting and scoring. After a well earned break we changed sports to play some target boccia which is all about aim and precision throwing and certainly a lot less energetic than Basketball, We then finished off with a game of Benchball to carry on the team spirit and use up any last energy left. At the end of the session the coaches awarded the Star of the Week to Kerrie, particularly for her efforts during the basketball and boccia. So a very well done to Kerrie. Comments are closed.
