With both the US Open Golf and the FIFA World Cup underway we couldn't decide what sport to play - so we played both! After the usual warm up we started the main part of the session with some Golf and in particular putting. The coaches had laid out a couple of "holes" consisting of a corridor of cones with a hoop at the end as the hole. They then played a separate game where cones were laid out randomly and the kids went three or four at a time and if their putt hit a cone they collected it and went on to try and hit another cone. Therefore, the aim being to hit and collect as many cones as possible. During the golf we also had a couple of teachers from Pear Tree Mead school in Harlow visit us - Kim and Heather. This is a school where Alan works at during the week and they had heard all about our club and wanted to pop in to see us in action. They have also been very supportive in helping us by providing the golf balls After the main break we switched sports and the younger ones headed to the ball pool, supervised by Ciara and Teagan. The older kids were back out on the playground having a France vs Australia style penalty shoot out. To finish off with we moved back in to the hall to play some games of Curling and that wrapped up a really great session. See you all again next Saturday for loads more fun! Comments are closed.
