We were hoping to get out on to the field for some fun in the sun this week but despite a reasonable weather forecast things did not turn out that way. The weather was pretty horrible so we had to stay indoors but we still had loads of fun playing basketball and hockey. As always our session started with a warm up before we moved on to a skills session. We started with basketball and that meant ball control including dribbling the ball around cones and passing the ball between the legs. Once the practice was done it was on to some matches. The group split up in to three teams and played a series of games against each other. After a break it was on to Hockey, again starting with skills pratcising control using a tennis ball with the hockey stick. As before, we then moved on to matches using the same three teams from the basketball earlier. To round off the session we enjoyed a few quick games of football as well. Our Star of the Week, as decided by all the coaches, was Adam who got involved really well this week and particpated in all the sports enthhusiastically. Well done Adam!
Lastly, just a reminder that as it is half term we will not be meeting next week (4th June) but will be back on the 11th so we look forward to seeing you all then. Comments are closed.
